Mangotex Ltda Industries, with its corporate culture increasingly focused on its ethical principles and being responsible and committed to the market it operates in, its clients, employees, business partners, investors, the community it is part of, and society as a whole, opens this channel as another step in its history of success.
In response to the challenges of contemporary society such as inclusion, equity, diversity, climate change, ethics, governance, transparency, and social responsibility, Mangotex Ltda Industries prioritizes the ESG concept (Environmental, Social, and Governance). This involves integrating economic value creation with concern for environmental, social, and corporate governance issues, meaning it incorporates healthy and sustainable practices into its culture with principles that generate positive impacts not only financially but also socially and environmentally in the long term.
Mangotex Ltda Industries is aware of its role as an employer and social agent, and has had ESG-conscious policies and practices in place for over two decades. In 2024, it consolidated the creation of a committee and dedicated management focused on the implementation of this concept, although the initial steps towards implementing ESG began much earlier. Here are some of our practices:
- We have held the Environmental Management certification, currently ISO 14001, since October 10, 2003.
- We have internal policies and work with our partners to combat bribery, racism, child labor, forced labor, discrimination, unethical behavior, and other practices that could violate human rights.
- We comply with current norms and legislation.
- We manage our waste by directing it to recycling operators and licensed landfills.
- We consume electricity from renewable energy sources, specifically hydroelectric power since 2022 and wind power from 2024, as certified by I-REC.
- We use firewood in our wood boiler process from reforested sources supplied by licensed vendors holding certificates of Compliance and Reforestation issued by competent public agencies such as Ibama and Semil.
- We carry out around five social projects per year.
- We invest in research and development of sustainable products (green concept).
- We work with partners and consultants to map carbon dioxide emission levels to set goals and actions for reducing current emissions.
- And other practices.
Strengthening this relationship of transparency and trust with its employees, business partners, investors, clients, the community it is part of, and society as a whole, Mangotex Ltda Industries remains committed to seeking solutions and practices that promote socioeconomic and environmental development, as well as sustainable corporate governance practices under the new ESG concepts, standards, and relevant legislation.
